danhong bday celeb it started quite long ago from all the planning stuffs ( i wasnt involved much but just received sms and took part in the execution). haha. let's start nearer the day. fri evening. i didnt know it was early shut down day. still happily chatting with yili. all the way till outside school we were still talking. yay heard a lot of interesting stuffs!! ok went to meet clarice and went to xx house. it is TRAUMATISING each time i go to xx house. yes because of her dog. omg. den we started when the rest came. and it got really high. or maybe was it me only. i only know that all the way they were complaining that i was too loud. me and xx were the main chefs. making the messy out of the kitchen, experimenting out the things and end up failing on attempt 1. but we still revised and came out with a nice perfect 2 tier cake!  it was so dirty we had a hard time cleaning! thus reaching home quite late..saturday. met earlier at coro with xx shanly clarice. still trying to complete the album. so we were all super late to meet dh and the seniors. me clarice went to buy the tix for their movie but we didnt realise that it was reaching 1pm and we still bought the 1335 movie. reached glasshouse fishnco and chat chat chat while waiting for the food. hurry hurry ate and they went off. i excused myself saying i went to meet my sis....  but actually i went xx house again!! haha to complete the album and help her bring the stuffs to cck. so do do do and while waiting, took some nice pic of the album. mine is the nicest pls!! *other ppl rolling eyes* so me and xx delivered to album and cake to cck. and her dog was like crying like a kid all the way when we walked down the stretch of road. wah damn sad. but i still dun like. HAHA. went to meet the rest at lot1 and all of us went to dh house! JOSON IS FREAKING IRRITATING I TELL YOU. i hate him calling my name cos each time he just says nonsense and calls my gladiators shoe skeleton and wahatever. lol!so we dingdong at her house and i think she wasnt very surprised. cos ppl like shanly and clarice totally couldnt hide things. haha kidding kidding!! and then it was some eating cake chatting taking photo session. our cake was bitter due to the bitter choc coating! but it was nice la!  someone came up with the idea of present presentation ceremony. we each took pic with dh and the page we did for her!  group photo! a nice 1 using self timer. bottom left are the 2 main chefs, me and xx! xx is the scary 1 la!! when everyone is laughing she will just whack you really hard.. so violent!! and dun think she's thin, it really hurts!! haha! ending off with this pic. bangle spects. yes after all the fun, time to mug like a nerd!!(clarice squeezed in to take a photo with this pretty nerd=x but i deliberately chose the solo pic. hahahahah!)  pics available at http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v708/sophiaeng_90/danhong%20bday/ but i was too lazy to delete some repetitive or blur pics. just choose wat you want =)) Friday, September 26, 2008 @ 9/26/2008 12:04:00 AM

mugggg mode today was so productive! yay! and its one of the most enjoyable muggg day with the girls! =)) early morning went to school for the chem mcq thing. 720. madness. i attempted to take an earlier bus but end up being the same. anw after that yili sprang up with the idea of going mac for breakfast. and we went! it was the nokia bus! woohoo! ok fast forward. it was another of the usual chit chatting session during breakfast time. funny. heh. stayed there to do work. and mk stayed behind! like one of the very few times she's doing that can. she was sitting infront of me and sure helped me a lot! thanks =D and her random laughters sure perked up the time there. hahaha. our tea! there's a significant different in the cups. arent we  lunchtime we went btfc. 2nd time there. i realised yili like the same malaysia drink as me! yay! but i still cant pronounce the name though. anw the popiah was seriously nice. and minghan got me to buy 4 for him. and he ate them ALONE. 4. crazy.ok back in school i managed to continue doing maths. but later in the day me and yili sorta went mad with the maths and started toking nonsense. haha pity xj had to stand us!! so i did a lot of things today. spent a fruitful time yet had nice food and company!! ok random but i bet as As draw nearer the mood wouldnt be as relaxing as it is now =(( Sunday, September 14, 2008 @ 9/14/2008 04:09:00 PM
mooncake festival its the mid-autumn festival today, but i would rather call it the mooncake festival. well this special occasion for the chinese seems to be losing its appeal in my family. remember in the past we used to go down to the garden with my family and my primary school friends who live in the same estate to play. walking around with the most traditional lantern, eating the mooncake that mama made, enjoying the only day in the year when we can play with candles, and fire. now, the thing that we do which is most related to mid-autumn is probably to eat mooncakes. heh. last year we played sparkles and lit lanterns just outside our house and hang them at the windows as we were too lazy to move our bums downstairs. lol. this year, sis has to go back hall to prepare for the test. and the festival mood starts to tone down as we grow older. ahhh how sad is it. so why not write a review on mooncakes. haha =)) snowskin mooncake from raffles hotel. actually we don't really like mooncakes that much. but if we leave this out, then there will be nothing left for mid-autumn. uncle bing gave it to us, like he always do every year. tried it today. dun think that its just a normal looking kinda mooncake, the fillings were omg! mainly lotus seed paste with choc. crispy choc biscuit or just the choc.  teochew mooncake. this has got to be my favourite. if you hadnt try it before, what a waste! crispy biscuit on the outside, uncloying yam paste on the inside. but not every bakery promises the same quality. at least the one near my house dun. the best are always found in orchard area, where you can try out the taste first. my mum went with my sis on fri, while i was ice-skating. awwww... and here's introducing the most innovative mooncake of the year. well agar agar would be more apt. yes its coconut agar agar on the outside and fruits filling on the inside. there's a total of 4 flavours-- mango, dragonfruit, yam and kiwi. the best thing is it taste fantastic at an affordable price! who says you can only work on the mooncake boxes to be creative?? alright yes i am considering to sign up to be a yebber! haha =))Saturday, September 13, 2008 @ 9/13/2008 12:19:00 PM
post prelims part II i tried ice skating for the 1st time in my life! danhong thought i wouldnt want to go when they suggested ice-skating, but after watching the repeat telecast of the TAIWAN show stairways to heaven ( haha private joke with xiuwen they all), i wanted to try it out! so met early in the morning yst at jec with the other 10 ppl. a mixture of ppl from different classes and cca. lol. there were a lot of pro kids around in the rink and me shanly danhong, being the noobs were quite paiseh. wanted to drop the idea and just go for a movie. but in the end we still went in la. everyone was pro! (except the 3 of us) even clarice was lor! we were like walking round holding on to the side at snail speed. 2 nice primary school kids came over and helped us. so all along we had been holding hands going round while others were gliding here and there, playing catching even. i was veryyyyy unstable, cannot really balance myself =( the 4 of us!!  zi pai while taking a break.. they bought the unlimited package so we skated for quite long. like from 10+ to 3. my legs were hurting cos the shoes were hard and stiff! the guys were the pro-est. and they enjoy pulling the girls, skate very fast, let go and see them fall down. and yes i fell even before they went off cos was too unstable =((( and jingxian is the only guy who agreed to take photo with a cool pose. he skate super fast! he's like giant to shanly and here's a pic of him with his scandal... clarice! nicholas and jiahao were always doing gay-ish things. haha and i didnt film down jingxian's dances =(( here's an eg of there drama. haha they were very very funny! |
