saturdays are meant to be fun ;) for the whole week, was busy at work in RE. no cases closed but quite a lot of interviews i would say. anw a filipino guy of mine was offered on fri evening. so should be able to close by mon. yes tt would be great. fast forward to the more interesting stuff. audrey and duqian gave me a shock 1 fine morning when i was in mrt going to work. they were calling from airport before their flight to tw and hk. oh my tian so envy them! they were like highing thru the phone haha. guess they are enjoying the trip now! went to SMU biz tea session on fri evening. actually go for fun de lor. i knew wat they were going to say. heh. and i went alone. glad i made a new fren there, Estelle from nyp. we are in the exact same boat omg. so we had lots to chat abt. thru the session to mrt.. she hasnt msg me so it means she have yet to decide on uni choice as well! saturday morning went to NUS to meet claire bear for the science open house. not tea session anymore cos no tea was served! ok they gave the 2 of us 'lao kok' dousa bun but gave others high tech yeast bread. well anw the point is that life sci looks 10x more interesting than chem. and after all the sessions i went, i just felt that all schools are equally good :( its not helping pls. after that hungry us had lunch at this mega bites cafe or sth like tt. the system was weird and we have no idea wat on earth was the short short waitor talking abt. the food was not bad for its price with quite big servings just that there is more room for improvements. lol.  after that took the train down cine to look for sihui. ok i only get a glimpse of her before she went into the big room for the compeition. it must be fun la.. hope she is shorlisted! i want free lunch =D  after that went to meet the RE temps for gathering cum celebrating pauline's bdae at mind cafe. actually all of them are ex-temps except me, pauline and william. so i was quite scared it would be awkward. but NO. they are all funny and fun-loving ppl. easy to chat and make frens with. i spent the whole afternoon laughing non stop i tell u, until almost teared. the guys are tooooo funny!! we played quite a lot of games, esp this 1 called repeat pete. it killed 100000 of my brain cells because at 1 time we were supposed to rmb more than 30 actions! and ugly ugly was really violent can! and i heard the many many stories abt the temps. like super temp owen, the super smart guy going to medicine. clarice he's going to be your course mate! and kenny who quit after 10 days, how fierce the perms were in the past.... and wanxuan, the temp before me which i took over was super nice as well! she shared with me some tricks to do the job better as well! after the guys left we went to plaza sing for some girls talk and ice cream at gelare. amazing how easy it is to talk with them abt almost everything, from uni to RE stuff to the future and school.......... definitely an enjoyable session. well ppl who RE chose are definitely not those shy shy ppl i would say!  thats abt all, week starting again! and sis is goin america this tues.. happening saturday! a busy saturday makes me really tired but happy at the end of the day ;) 1st in the morning was meeting sihui to go for the cbc tea party. blur me alighted at the wrong station. and sihui's mum kindly came to pick me up. we met toh xinyi, the girl who used to sit with me during sec 3 and 4 and gave a a 2 year nightmare. LOL just kidding. her looks and appearance didnt change much but definitely 500times funnier. or is it because she phrase it funnily without laughing herself. u have no idea how entertained me and sihui, or perhaps fen and her fren was. omg laughing the whole morning made me quite exhausted. heh. jokes aside, the cbc building was really new. due to the fact that it was just completed last year. yes a good time to think of which school to go to now that i have all the offers. omg i think smu really dun look at the essay and compre when they accept their students. lol. after that sihui's parents sent me to the mrt station again. thanks to them i was in time to get to the cathay to meet the co ppl for movie. well only me , danhong, alvin, shijun and shihao who came duper late. was really excited to watch angels and demons. cos the last movie da vinci code was so interesting. overall it was quite nice but predictable. i was so proud of myself that i can guess the real culprit in the middle of the movie lo! dun believe ask danhong. haha!  den went to arcade. seems like a must go place everytime. and bishi bashi again. i seriously waste money la. play a few games and hands damn pain. not that i want to la... will just whack the machine cos its so exciting.oh ya and thanks to sis for passing me the camera at dhoby gaut! walked to city hall to meet S09 for class gathering. met minghan on the way! yes his head is really like so small as described by the others. due to the botak head. last event was S09 class gathering at Raffles City Shokudo.  the food was so-so i would say, but its the talking with the people that makes it nice! well here's the pics of the desserts and the access card..  quite a lot of us went, i would say. and we hanged around from 6+ in the evening to 9+ at night... quite amazing that there is every1's photo with their food in my cam! and some cam whoring amidst the chit chatting session! i think jieying ying looks really comical in the photo. and i would name mk and xw's photo as "beauty and the beast". apt isnt it? haha!  thats all for the day. get the photos here! the week of birthdays the past week was filled with lots of birthday celebrations.. 1st of all last tues was xx's birthday.. we went to her house to surprise her. forget to bring lighter so we ask all the ppl who pass by. but they ignore us! omg so unfriendly. in the end we went to her house without the candles. lol.talk crap and watched the last episode of a show. is it DIE? sth like tt. but was super lame. yup so that was the day..   the next day was jc syf. so sad i didnt get to go.. but we still got GOLD! good for them. at least the hard work put in were paid off. felt really happy for them. heart was beating super fast when they msg me that the result was going to come out. was like keep telling shirley about the news when they told me that they got gold. haha. so after that was celeb at fish n co glass house. as usual la.. but its fun talking to danhong and jiahao. LOL.saturday lunch was birthday celeb for chuanfa and kevin with the clique. lunched and cake at subway jurong point. happy birthdy to the 2 guys! yes we talk and talk and shop around. arcade and i realised i super waste money. imgine i could only play like 2 games with the same amt of money tt sihui can play like 5 or 6 games? plus hit until my hand pain la! i cant hit gently lor omg its so jin zhang!!! oh ya and saw wei zhe! he came over to say hi so suddenly. lolZ.  after that at night was dinner xiao long bao with shufen! belated birthday celebration. i realised my cash was running low so went to withdraw. and wat the, there is this non aircondition posb filled with KLK! almost suffocate there. but when we went back jp we realised we can use nets in crystal jade. plus there is a air-conditioned dbs bank la! omg totally heartache. anyways we still had the bdae dinner treat by me for shufen. xiao long bao as requested by her. also celebrating our 10th year anniversary! lo as friends la. omg how many 10 years can we have in our life?? we just spent 1 of it tgt. heh. thats us! 10 years of friendship and counting on!!  the food. we had 2 plates of xiao long bao! PPL PLEASE DUN EAT THE DAN DAN MIAN! it peanut butter sauce la! omg eat until super ni4. lucky we had wanton noodles to neutralise it. and a plate of guo tie make me feel really like a carnivore. duper full after that.. i insisted on taking this pic. evidence leh! haha :) after that we went bakerzin to da bao cake. cos we were too full to eat there. choc cake to wrap up the day! sunday was mother's day cum marg's bdae celebration at unique seafood. mother's day so the place was super packed. lucky i reserved seats 1 week before. service compromised so not as good as usual. but we still managed to entertain ourselves with the camera;)   the food! super a lot.... crabs, oyster, prawns etc.. the weird weird snail looking thing is the worst lor. too hard to chew.. us with dearest mum on mother's day! ok last but not least was marg's birthday this tues. went to get the pre-ordered cake from bakerzin after work. thats the good thing of working in town i guess. if i work in tuas i wont be able to do that. lol. ok but the cake was really super nice! ok thats all. looking forward to this saturday. chem&biochem tea party with sihui + angel&demons with co ppl + s09 class gathering. super happening yo! photos are here: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v708/sophiaeng_90/120509/ Saturday, May 02, 2009 @ 5/02/2009 11:13:00 PM
inaugaral culinary exchange well well its been a long time since i last blogged.. have been busy with i dunno wat... anyway labour day yst was spent at claire's house, or rather, her grandparent's old flat where she and pat is staying in. for our inaugural culinary exchange that we had been talking of since last year. let the photos do the talking! us at work..  seriously how long do you think that last?? we still did camwhoring la! but every1 was supposed to wear aprons. but yili couldnt find hers and i dunno what happened to claire and xj. so me, xiuwen mk were the only 3 who wore the aprons. mine is 'happy home' exclusively worn by my mum ok!! and i tried to shoot a commercial photo for woh hup black pepper sauce. looking for a spokeperson for your pdt? find me find me! :D here is us before the dinner starts.. and here is our food. let me explain, no1 came up with any special names for their dishes. except me! Guess why its Invincible Triple M? cos its Mushroom Mixed Meat! you can say it the other way round too! haha! and us with our final products! yum yum! after dinner was SOME cleaning up. cos i think we didnt do enough. just washed up the plates but claire was cleaning the whole kitchen i think. cos we went to watch tv but she was still in the kitchen :X but they got quite high during the cleaning up and did some jump shots. lol. and i cant help but make comments for the photos below. mk is like seriously sooooo happy that she a bit zou3 guang1. please say thanks to me for helping you cover. LOL. and claire bear jumping with a wiping cloth, posing as a superman simply reminds me of a supermum. haha yes she has wat it takes to be 1! all the photos are here!ok i will be looking forward to the next outing, which will be cycling at i dunno where. hope its not too far.. and next week will sure be busy. though there is no public holiday like this week, i can look forward to celebrating shufen's bday. xiao long bao treat on me at crystal jade?? ok no surprises cos she chose xiao long bao herself. heh..
