last day of 2008 2008 is a special year.. it marks the end of my jc life, complete with lots of wonderful memories which i never want to forget. and these would never be possible, without the many many wonderful ppl i met in njc.. and so on this last day of the year, i dedicate this post to them... My Girls.  yes i call them MY GIRLS! haha!2 years of knowing each other, seeing each other almost everyday, being together for breaks, lunch lessons, gatherings... and we are still not sick of each other! as if those were not enough, we stick tgt to mug as well.. in the canteen, libraries, clearing our queries with 1another and helping out.. [oh ya this time round i got a good improvement award from cdc&ccc, thanks to them! =D] now, after all the exams, we still arrange to meet out tgt, still have endless things to talk and laugh about... each and every1 of us are really different, passionate about different things, have different characters, but we can click so well. like wat mk always say, "same same but different". heh. its not an easy thing finding ppl like them whom you can relate so well with. and i'm glad i've found them! can imgine my jc without them, a big fun part lost, how boring and dull it will be! to my girls: must meet out more often! thanks for these 2 yrs and u girls are loved by ME! <33 NJCO.  to be very honest, i enjoyed my 1st yr with njco more...it all started when i felt pretty left out in the unfamiliar school. with lots of ppl coming from the same school except me. seriously, i dun really like going co cos the ppl there are so pro. in terms of skills. and of cos the school they came from. like nanyang and rv and so many. until the day the seniors asked me out for dinner. curry wok, my 1st time there. and after that, more hanging out at kap. the whole thing continued for the whole yr, going out after prac and reaching home at 11+ each time. but the bonds forged were much stronger than any1 can think of. all those chionging of cards, writing letters for seniors, doing banner for them, looking forward to each prac and chifan sessions... and i started to prac hard, cos i dun want to let them down.. we were all moving forward at the same goal-- syf. and the passion persisted till the concert. when the seniors left, it was really really sad. cos we all know, everything will be so so different. until the 2nd year, i start to realise how reliant we, or rather i have been on the seniors. and things start to fall apart. we no longer have the common goal to hold us tgt, and things went for a change in a totally different way. i rmb asking my sis, "how? the seniors are gone and i think it would no longer be that enjoyable in co". and she told me "no, it depends on wat kind of senior u are". what she said didnt really get into me, until now when i look back... how committed was i to co in 2008? no more chi fan, lesser prac, doing wat was my responsilbity only. the juniors... i didn make an effort to know them more, like what my seniors did to me.. thats sth really sad.. thats the end of my jc life. i've met so many wonderful ppl. of cos these are not all.. more ppl which i didnt get to include here. hope thats not the end of my friendship with them.. more gatherings and meet up ok! will look forward to them in year 2009 and the many years to come =)) bye bye 2008! merry xmas xmas is coming to an end soon! D=  the day was spent at alvin's house. met up at causeway 1st. brunch-ed at LJS. and headed for his house. like a lot of ppl went! we had a total of 20 gifts for exchange. hoho!so it was the usual thing. mahjong, eat, watch show.. i stoned a lot. haha! watched quite a few movies but were on and off. the only 1 i could rmb was the disaster movie. cos it was DISASTROUS. lol! the exchange present was fun! i must say shihao brought the most funny present. its the big white spects. shihao and jiahao merely exchanged present among themselves la so funny.. i got the storage box again! though was looking forward to it cos i guessed it! both meichen and alvin bought it la haha! i got alvin's, pink piglet box. so i got 2 now.. 1 was bought yst.. think giving my sis 1 of them... dinner pizza hut was sponsored/treated by shijun! he refuse to accept our money.. thanks to him. and liyan too!! she brought the sparkling juices, sausages, hams and so many things la! our seniors are great ya ;) anw we tried out baking cheese with ham and it was MEGA MEGA nice! and so with xmas ending, a new year is starting... hmm..... @ 12/25/2008 12:13:00 AM
this xmas eve Let It Snow - Glen Campbell wow its pass 12am so MERRY X'MAS!! this xmas eve was a blissful 1. the long awaited meet up with xiangling! oh man i super love going out with her and shufen. even after so long we can talk and play like we meet everyday! haha! the 2 of them were late ok. went to buy tickets for the movie and left a long lunch before the show starts. chat and chat after lunch. woohoo we love talking to xiang ling =)) watched ip man. its not bad can! the martial arts were exciting and nice. i keep asking xiangling yip mun wont die rite cos he need to live and teach bruce lee! haha the show is set before that, in 1930s-40s.  after movie we went to walk around. and i wanted to take photos!! long long time since we last took tgt. so we went causeway lobby there with a settings for xmas. haha the passer-bys we asked to help us all cant take nice pic la! we self-timed and they were like much much better! hoho!   den we saw this storage box that was mega cute! only 1 tigger and eeyore was left so we went to buy wrapper that i need to use for the xmas party later 1st. but when we went back, they were gone! oh man.. smart me suggested going gift a name and we found the mega nice red mickey 1. so grab la!! haha! and they acompany me to go buy the gift for the xmas party.den parted and i went for auntie lian's annual xmas party. lots and lots of nice food! so went home and opened up xiangling's xmas prez for us. oh my it was super super nice! you turn the ting and it gives the song "let it snow" like those musical box kind. like how the classical piano operates. how cool!!!!!!!!!!  let it snow let it snow let is snow!Tuesday, December 23, 2008 @ 12/23/2008 10:04:00 PM
malaysia trip hello i am back from malaysia =D ( well actually back on sunday morning) the penang trip was fun. zoey grew up even cuter and super loves to play. heh. jason too! and we cousins had our own present exchanging thing. rm5 at the same supermarts can buy ultra lots of combi of stuffs!! funfun =D not to forget the annual bbq meet=DD lots of photo taking, enjoy the breeze and chit chatting! (did i mention the houses of xiao jiu, xiao yi and da jiu are super windy =DD) wooohoo! of cos, we ate and shopped like mad everyday there. i drank ambra asam jiuce everyday ( the drink that me and yili love!). of cos chendol, penang laksa, lor bee hun and more more more!! went up genting. the route was still as unsmooth as before! i kept lying down on my cousin's lap. haha! we stayed in the apartment there with a mega big kitchen, living room and 4 big bedrooms! there's 3 mahjong tables there totally reminded me of co camp =) went to the arcade and my aunts and cousins were all hooked on the BASKETBALL MACHINES! sounds like jiahao and gang? haha! but the thing is there are tickets for the machines so u get sth back la! heh. the big thing is I WENT INTO THE CASINO! no i didnt sneak in k! went with my lao gu zhang, lao gu, da yi zhang, parent and sis. i was stopped (btw 21 is the official age to enter). showed them my sis passport and i got in! wah big sigh of relief... and excitement! haha it was like uber big. and wat i saw is not all. there is this international casino that is 3 storeys! omly vips like my lao gu zhang can go in cos they gamble really a lot there. and almost every1 there smoke =/ so we prefer the anti-smoking area. sis won money! a few hundred bucks k dun play play! but my da yi zhang won like a few k =O its really more than wat u see on the tv shows la! a great experience 3 years in advance =DD theme park was like lots of queueing. so smart us got the adults who dun wan2 play to queue for us 1st. haha! i tried corkscrew ok! only me taoguang and jiatian dared to. but i still cant pluck up the courage to go for space shot aka tiao4 lou2 ji1. yes that omega tall 1 that shoots down all of a sudden. down genting we went klang. to visit my jiu jiu who has duno how many factories there. and he is less than 30 yrs old omg. my mum keep saying ai4 ping1 cai2 hui4 ying2! and of cos more and more shopping =x thats the exciting trip. will post more pics the next time. but there's too many. i need a hard disk! pictures overload =/ starting to miss there.. 1 year later =(( Friday, December 12, 2008 @ 12/12/2008 02:35:00 PM

claire's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIRE! and we celebrated claire's bdae at causeway point today. wanted to give her a surprise with yili and xj missing and come out later with the cake. but when we went in pizza hut we sat at a 6-seater table and claire ask why we dun want to sit at the round table.. den the waitress say its not enough for 6ppl. so tada spoilt out plan. and after much chit chatting eating we sang the birthday song. the mango cake but didnt know that claire dun like mango.. nvm he cake was nice =)  us! after the meal we helped claire look around for her long john which she will bring to nepal. and meanwhile mk did sth not very funny again. its end of year but definitely not so cold -.- haha! den we started thinking whether we should go sing k. cos every1 wants! but yili have to go RE while mk is not keen cos she dun have money. so the 4 of us, bdae girl xj xw and me headed to party world!the room was mega big. most of the time we only occupy half the room. this pic is just part of it. there are 3 stretches of the sofa. and i broke my cup! oh man lucky no need to pay. haha! our room was 13 so claire didnt let us watch the haunted mtvs. cos rule #13. heh.  and i realised xiuwen is good at singing english songs. but not chinese cos she dun even know them. haha! anw the 3 girls were super 'shu nu' kind. they never stepped on the sofa once. yes i am always the zi-high person jumping on the sofa like its my stage. lol. oh ya whle waiting for claire the gao xiao san ren zu took a photo with the wind blowing. woohoo!but dun ask me cos i have no idea wats with mk's expression. haha.  ok i like this pic. was trying to take photo with mk when she pass me the phone to discuss with xj abt the prank thing. wah can use as a phone commercial pic =) i am happy becos i managed to sing k before going penang. and more to come after coming back. yay! but more surveys tml 1st..... photos: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v708/sophiaeng_90/claire%20bdae/ Sunday, December 07, 2008 @ 12/07/2008 03:37:00 PM
and more surveys.. so after my first day of work, i continued for 2 consecutive days. though i usually call it a day before 5pm, i still feel mega tired, thus i am only blogging like now.. day2  cos i finished the serangoon hdb area the previous day so i decided to just complete the landed housing there. 7 households. in the morning received RE12-07's call and went down 1st. so i started work at abt 12.30. the weather was freaking hot! abt to get a heat stroke. finally saw an old couple with their grandchildren. the auntie did the survey but the uncle didnt want to. but guess wat while i was asking, the uncle keep popping by to give comments. so much that i thot i can do the survey for him! but at the end of the auntie's survey he really did it with me. can see he really want ppl to chat with him. lol. and i went on to the next address nearby. the guy was single but i thot he was married cos there were children in his home! omg so paiseh. den i wrote the 1st ever refusal letter. the auntie was rushing to go out in her mercedes. lol. those 3 household were in sommerville walk. tired i sat at the coffee shop at the junction for a cup of ice lemon tea. which i totally regretted later. made my way to daisy avenue. dun think the route is short. maps are deceiving. the stretch of road is actually very very long! met this super duper nice auntie. but she has a dog. a small and fat 1 but she can see that i am scared. so she asked her maid to tie it up. omg and she invited me to her house. the moment i stepped in i was like OMG, my face was super duper red! must be dur to the sun. and she was very patient answering all the qn. her maid poured me a glass of iced xian cao!!!! but i was too full from the ice lemon tea. arghhh only drank less than half cup. she advised me to bring a cap next time. so nice! den made my way to jalan girang. saw this old uncle. he speak teochew but can understand chinese. so i was trying to flaunt my teochew which i grew up listening. GUESS WAT. he cant understand my teochew but can understand when i later said in chinese. haha so malu!! the last household on my list was at cotswold close. but that unit was renovating. so 2 units down i saw an old couple. educated and nice people. invited me in and even the maid asked me to bring along an unbrella next time. cos i was really red. haha. and they answered my qn, treated me to iced water. very nice to chat with them. and that ended my day2, at abt 5pm. day3 i did 12 surveys! woohoo! but working time longer. from 11.30 to 5.30. the place was damn ulu. and the structure is weird. one block has 5 lifts, and the corridors are only connected at certain levels. very troublesome. and it was the 1st time i had ppl slamming their doors at me. i dun like marine parade =( and i have poor sense of direction. i take a long time looking at the map i printed. so i asked the children at the void deck. and chased after their bicycle when they show me the way. heh. ok i cant rmb everything. but it was sure tiring. deciding whether to do more after coming back from penang... oh wells so i slacked my whole day at home. rest rest. 11 more address to go. i want my penang trip! ms darshini's wedding, work, and some random thoughts ms darshini's wedding met up with evil step fam in the evening cos we were all taking xw's sis car there. the 1st thing we reached the temple we saw miss darshini's wedding photo. so nice! its true that all ladies look gorgeous and stunning during their wedding! we were given a flower each, but have no idea wat to do with it. so before the ceremony started we used it for camming =) anw the photo of the 4 of us were taken by jansen, the only guy that went.  miss darshini's wedding photo! so nice rite =) then was the food. i'm sure it was nice, like what ms ang said. but i think its just that we couldn really get used to it.  here's our group photo with her and her husband! and we went home with xj's father's car. is mk really emigrating back to hk?? omg thats a mystery only she can solve! lol must tell us if u really going k??work-survey  no i haven found a permanent 1. though more than 2 consultants from RE called me to ask abt my requirements. and i had been thinking that so many of my friends go there, plus so many many x10000 fresh A students in spore who would most prob sign up with them as well, are they really able to get every1 a temp job? anw back to the topic, i woke up early in the morning (erm 8am is not really early rite?) to do my survey. yes the 1 i did in march. andi shall announce that i did 9 surveys today =D if you know the pay u would know how much i earned. ok i feel good cos i am not slacking at home. at least i am doing sth meaningful. i guess if i am at home i would be watching 'bu liang xiao hua'.. i think my luck was really good today, cos kind ppl agree to do my survey. and my working time was actually 1030 to 4 only. no i am not going to write down the details like i did the last time. cos my brain memory storage is not so good now. heh. actually at 3pm i had done 8. but i waited till 4. cos the house i went at 1pm asked me to come back at 4pm. and it was raining so i cant move on to my private estate household in that area. after completing serangoon tml, i will have to move on to east coast!!! arghhh. but the thing to be happy abt is, there are super a lot of elderly man today! 2 of them were carrying their grandson while talking to me. if you know the survey, males only do like half the survey. i was shocked that there were so many elderly in the place i went. be it in the void deck or at home. finding ppl isnt really a tough feat. lets hope it will continue to be like that so that i can complete these in like 5 days only. yay thats before penang trip! and i was glad i learnt my lesson the last time, bring along an umbrella. cos it was pouring. ok i am just glad i managed to reach home at 5. cos i realised that place was just a few bus stops from amk. to think that i still took the mrt to serangoon in the morning! oh wells i am just saying things that comes to my mind. random thoughts these started when i received claire wong's card! sms-ing her a thanku seems weird when ppl send u a xmas card 20days before the actual day (lol!) so i cant send her a "merry xmas and thanks for ur card!". so i shall do it here: thanks for ur card! well its pretty interesting to see wat ppl write about u. its a totally different perspective of yourself, which u are not really familiar with. cos u cant bring a mirror all day long and look at how you act everyday. and the same action you do might mean different things for different ppl. surprisingly, i do rmb what people say about me. like mervyn said that i was "too crazy" before, so from then on i tried to be more normal infront of him. heh. my cousin said that i look fat when i act that bloated face which i used to have when i take pic last time so i stop doing that. shufen says i look better/ not as fat when i smile with my teeth instead of closing my mouth so i always do that now.. today i saw another side of myself. and i am really glad that i made a difference in some1's life. perhaps not a lot but at the very moment when i made someone laughed, or smiled. while i do care about the little little things ok. ok thats all till the next post. and wish goh sihui a safe and enjoyable trip on the airbus to sydney =D Tuesday, December 02, 2008 @ 12/02/2008 10:53:00 PM
prom night and so it was prom night yesterday. well as usual it was a mass photo-taking session. and after looking at the com for so long i am getting a headache. here's the photos. but not all though cos i am too tired to post everything. with the secondary school friends! omg only waikit and mervyn..  with the funnily dressed ppl...
