of family and friends 15th feb was dad's bdae. I treated the whole family to international buffet @rendezvous hotel's straits cafe with my pay :) the 6 of us that went :)  the food there was seriously good.. from oyster to sashimi to laksa and of cos, the durian desserts they are famous for!  we took really nice pic there cos of the warm lightings.. here's some of them.. so we had a great night with good food and nice ambience :) last friday after work i went to watch sis's temasek hall drama production: in Erised. read it from the back and u will see desire. i think only ppl who read harry potter could appreciate this. didnt expect much but it turned out to be really really comical . super funny!!! surprisingly enjoyable show with a great plot i would say. the only minus point was that i'm sick. kept coughing but have to bear until the intermission...  last saturday, which was the day after the production, esf met up for a singing session at party world. which was also a surprise bdae celebration for xiuwen. hope she really was surprised! haha.. didnt know the person there can insert the bdae song in halfway and help us bring in the cake until then. and we had a good time singing (despite my coughing and not very comfortable throat), keep getting mk to sing cos she hardly knows any songs.. lol! V Day 09 v day last saturday has got to be the most enjoyable 1! morning till evening was spent with yili mk xiuwen at the ntu talks. went early in the morning! but ok la the talks were better than expected. lunched tgt and went back to find sihui.. met seok hoon and sihui at raffles city. balloon exchanged at party city! we were so enthu picking the balloons and found that we were quite zi-high when we came out. haha! went to ngee ann city to meet the rest. while waiting the 4 of us self-cammed with our balloon. so nice right!   and guess wat, the guys bought flowers with a bear (or dog or wat u call la) for us. thanks to chuanfa, charlie and kevin! :)  dinner at crystal jade la mian with xiao long bao. great recommendation by sihui. and we went over to far east to accompany hoon and charlie get the things they want. and i finally found the stage shop! so its at 1st floor la! i always thot its at 2nd floor. yay! and we took some group pics there :)  :) Saturday, February 14, 2009 @ 2/14/2009 12:38:00 AM
lucky black friday its supposed to be an unlucky yst. ya the 13th cos its past 12 midnight so it should be yst. but i was so lucky! thanks to my fantastic boss :) work work work in the morning. i have endless stuff to do. which is good. slacking in the room with glass panels and ppl (esp the director and snr managers next door) walking past is not good. heh. and in the afternoon had to go down IMM to take some photo of the shelves in giant. my manager drove me down as usual and we went for late lunch (1+pm is not exactly late but my boss always gets hungry at 12. haha!) so i was finding my way in the big IMM to the foodcourt when she said "not here!" and we walk here and there. trying to find a place called Baystreet21. and its a restaurant. ok i was not prepared to spend the price (more than 10 bucks) on a weekday lunch. but i guess i had to. and when i was flipping thru the menu my boss said "just order la dun look at the price i treat u". that was not exactly wat i was expecting omg. the food was nice but serving was BIG. and we had set lunch which had bread soup dessert and such. not to forget the bowl of onion rings she ordered before the food arrive. mega super full. there was endless of things that my boss can tell me. interesting stories of her life and of my hate-and-love eerie stories.heh. the bill came and i attempted to pay u know. but i had no idea wats the price seriously cos the menu only state the price of the ala carte without the set. and onion rings. and she paid using credit card. of cos, she repeated that she was going to pay. so i cant do anything but thank her :) taking photos at giant was super fast. its really taking the pics of the whole shelf with the drinks. so my day ended slight less than 1hr before my actual work end. and get to walk walk around IMM. which is so big. and make me feel sooo lost. anw there was this incident. my boss and some executives were having lunch meeting (meeting and lunch catered). means i am not included. but she said i can eat the food. so while i was working she came over to ask me to go take the food for lunch. i thot the meeting was over and happily walk in. when i was taking the beehoon the guy beside me started talking abt the powerpoint again. and the director was right infront of me (i didnt know at 1st cos the lights was off and the OHP still on). so the meeting was not over! i was so stunned. and den my boss started asking me wat food i want. but i was so paiseh to say cos the guy is still talking. so she just took over my plate and take the food for me. omg. ok i realise i am saying really good things abt her. guess she will be so happy if she ever get to see it. haha! :) Tuesday, February 10, 2009 @ 2/10/2009 09:32:00 PM
happy girl :)  #1: i took half a day leave to fix my braces cos 3 brackets came out (my sis says i'm seriously pro). and my boss told me of the traffic light to get across the road! i can get to boon lay mrt station in less than 20min from den... i always took the loop bus outside which takes more than 1hr! and thats the traffic light we always pass by when we drive out to eat. haha! :)#2: i changed my ez link card to the new version cos there were no queue in the post office at lucky plaza :) #3: the people in dentalworks are seriously nice! like going there cos they make me feels so like at home. dr poon called me a new hero for getting so many brackets out. lol! :) #4: i ate taco pachi at taka. omg super nice. the authentic 1 is really better as compared to those outside. heh :) #5: m)phosis is having mega sales. everything 50% or 70%. i bought a pair of pump heels at super super cheap price. yay :) #6: some guys were giving out heart shaped balloons on the streets. for i duno wat reason. and they gave me 1! :) Saturday, February 07, 2009 @ 2/07/2009 10:25:00 AM
great week so fast, yet another week has passed... the 1st week after cny, and also the week when i resumed work at fncc. shall talk abt that later. on wed after work, i joined sihui and her mum at ntu for the campus concert of huang jing lun and shi xin hui. thanks sihui! she asked me to join them cos last time i told her huang jing lun is very cute on yu le bai fen bai and it would be good to see him in person. we got the 3rd/4th row and the view was mega good cos she won the tic on 933 so we got vip seats. and true enough, both of them sang really well. and huang jing lun is as humorous in person! so cute. so it was a great night with nice songs and music :)  about my job, well i'm given more stuffs to do. broader range i would say. anw my boss is going to teach me a lot of things.. the reasons, cannot be disclosed now. lol. i was shocked that AC Nielsen charge US$1000 a day for a 5day workshop to teach the catman stuff that i am doing. and she said that she would teach me those. which really made me feel that my stay here is worthwhile. lol.we had the cny lunch buffet cum lao yusheng this week. ours was with some key accounts and merchandisers. alright the merchandisers are ppl who wear the coke uniform and do sales, packing in the stores. omg they were crazy when lao-ing the yusheng. when the manager said "1,2,3 start!" they shouted like mega madness which really gave me a shock. there were more on the floor than table a the end. haha. and the table i was at (there were 6 tables) was with the CEO! haha how cool. and i think those exec in the company are weird ppl. 1st comes that i-dun-mean-to-dao-him director. den was our key a/c director who just came back. i've heard so many things abt her from my boss but she showed a totally diff side of herself. lol. she came over to my boss office just to invite me to the cny buffet. was so stunned. den was the senior manager next door. i duno why but i keep going to the toilet every now and den, but that means i have to pass by his room. 1 fine day when i pass his room and he was coming out, he said a warming "good morning". crazy i was so omg. so now when i see him i have to give a smile, which was quite.... lol. but i think my boss really treats me well. when i grumble of my financial burdens (braces & earn my pocket money) she would go over HC and come back telling me i will get a pay rise nxt month. haha! everytime she teach me sth she would say "u owe me a meal hor!" but when i wanted to pay for thelunch she would insist to pay back and say nxt time. and end up treating me sweets or snacks. not to mention she treated me to lunch quite a lot of times alr. she could tell that i like the coke bear, so she asked the trade marketing ppl to give me 1 after they are done with the exchanging with buyers. omg i seriously feel so blessed :) =) Tuesday, February 03, 2009 @ 2/03/2009 07:00:00 PM
i hate hand shakes sth really stupid happened to me today. the director of com came over to my boss's room today. and i just came back from the photocopy machine. i said hi and sat back at my seat, back facing him. there were some silence which i dunno why until he left the room. den my boss said "oei he wanted to shake hand with u lei! i hint hint u also nv response". OMG. i totally have no idea. i didnt mean to dao him!!!! so i had been feeling bad since den. =( |
