catch up was busy with the uni application yst. thanks to the discretionary admission stuff. see thats the result of doing things late la. haiz. but finally everything is more or less settled, left with some touch-ups on tuesday.. and so it was a week with lots of catching up with different ppl :) with family! last sunday we went for food fair @suntec. long time since we last hit the more town part tgt. there were a lot of ppl, making eating less enjoyable. we still left with bags of stuff though, like chicken essence, bak gua, prawn crackers etc.. and we headed to crystal jade for the fav xiao long bao with half-filled stomach.. there we saw the fountain of wealth open for ppl to go walk a round, touch the water and make a wish! so we made ourselves like tourists, joining the queue and taking photos while waiting :)  after xiao long baosssss we went to MOF next next door for dessert! my treat for the month with my pay.. and the gelato ice cream there are goodness uber nice la!! so i insist to take a pic with dad and mum as an evidence. hahaa!  with the clique!  celebrated angila bdae in advance on tues @ causeway point pizza hut. and of cos, uni application is the point of discussion. but we could still talk crap like in the past. haha! amazing how every1 is leading a very different life, when we used to do the same thing during secondary school days... and its really nice to have gatherings like this!! :):) with the girls!  on thurs we went for dinner @ prego in fairmont. we were scammed by the $500 voucher cos the value is actually $50. but we stayed on for dinner though. definitely burnt a hole in the pocket for its price, but thats fine dining isnt it. heh. the food portion was really big. and we each ordered different kinds of pastas. after trying each kind, i think i was half full already. too much pasta of the same taste makes me sick, so were swopped the plates around.. not to forget the tiramisu we shared at the end. nice nice. and we sat there chatting until like 10+ about so so many things, since the restaurant wasnt really full. a pity mk had to leave early. and we left because they have already start setting up for breakfast the next morning and we were scared they will chase us out. lol! but its set that we will definitely have a meeting soon soon. cos we haven paid xiuwen for the meal =p and the pics for the day: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v708/sophiaeng_90/prego%20w%20girls/ with colleagues!  on fri lunch time had lunch with my boss, alison and candy. the moment i stepped into the room the got a shock man. its a mini farewell lunch for me cos i'm ending work there next week. and there will be some rollouts at night which means i dun have work the next day. i knew there was sakae delivery but not so many! we almost couldnt finish the salmon sashimi. shiok to the max! and my phone battery died on me so i cant take photo of the dessert-- 11 SECRET RECIPE CAKES OF DIFFERENT FLAVOURS!!!! my goodness i stuffed myself to eat so many but we still couldn finish, so they da-baoed some home. fresh cream cakes like the mango, choc banana and choc are still my fav, compared to the brownies, carrot cake, apple cheese etc.... 1 more treat by the company next week. i get to choose wat to eat! yay! with clarice & joson! went back to visit our tuition teacher ms ho on friday evening. for a short while only since she was having tuition. after that we went for macs and sat there to chat. joson is like mega funny. after so many things 1 that left the most deep deep impression on me is the saying gong xi in the mortuary. omg couldnt stop laughing lah!! ok so we talked abt a lot, from uni interview to doctors and business and so so many stuffs :) with relatives! went to the cemetery for qing ming today. as usual the uncles aunties and cousins were there.. its going to be the last year there!! cos they are clearing the land so we have to move ah gong to the temple... aww.. its like a tradition to go there sao mu every year since i dont know when la.. ok thats happening. after this coming week i gotta look for another job soon!! before things start piling up again.. i'm more or less settled with my uni choices. and i hope, no regrets or whatsoever *yes yes* so here i am, after 2 eventful weeks.. soooo many things are happening, and yes i expect more this week. heh. so shall post abt the few main things that happened... Work. it fills up the main part of weekdays. thus, there are actually a lot of things happening. 1st comes the flower at tuas blossoming. oh man its really really nice x10000. and so when me and my boss drive out for lunch, we would make a detour to the back. cos at both rows of trees have their flowers blooming. and it happens when a silver bmw stalked us! super obvious cos it stop when we stop and drive when we do so. so my boss drove round and round and it followed us! so stupid! at 1 junction my boss drove so fast we pass by the traffic light just in time. so exciting! as good as those movie can :) and my boss love cakes, so other then insist to buy me lunch once in a while (and i realised its like once a week), she insists to buy cakes for me! ok i am getting really fat... and last week we had bdae celeb for jan-mar babies, just like how we had in jc!but the fruit cake was 4kg omg! but considering there were so many merchandisers... i guess it was pretty ok. i'm a noob cos i havent read "who moved my cheese" and my boss gave me a copy :) cos she has 2. she wanted to give me on my last day, prepared the coke wrapper but gave up, just gave me last week. lol!  and Earth day is this 28th mar! there were these papers hanging all around the company. and we were supposed to pluck out the paper light bulbs to write wat we will do on earth hour. 15 copies get u a tote bag. and my boss managed to get 75 ppl to support in less than 2hours! great so i got a nice coke tote bag too. and the 1 guy outside realised i didnt have any coke merchandise so he gave me a lot to fill up the tote bag! i like the coke teddy bear best :) come to think of it, my days in f&n coke is numbered. lol. gotta find another job soon!Xiangling's bdae. it was xl bdae on the day of results release. so me and fen had to celebrate it belated@lot1. and we really enjoyed chilling out with lunch at kobayashi and iced dessert at the random shop. lots of catching up which we used to do every week during co on saturdays when we go to yuhua tgt... aww really miss those days.... but seriously the 2 of them are the bff la! :)  Pri school gathering.after like 6years, we finally had a pri school gathering, which was pathetic. haiz. it was at somewhere really near our house, admiralty park, but apparently every1 was too busy to attend. so only 5 of us were there. but ok la, we managed to talk quite a lot, abt the different pri school ppl. many of them i could only rmb the name not faces, or the other way round. or the silly things our principal made us do which other kids dun. haha! took 2 group photos before i left for sis concert. the other 1 had a better lighting effect but i wana put this up cos my hair is nicer. lol but i edit till... a bit blur. lol get fen can get the actual 1 from me the nxt time..  sis's dance concert. after the 'pri school gathering', i rushed to clementi to meet mum for sis's dance concert. and was late. so we took the taxi. but the uncle had no idea where is nus high. and said until like it was my fault for not knowing the way and that we dun know cos he had not study for duno how many decades. i was fuming man. dun study in the school means u duno where it is?? after showing a really bad and sarcastic attitude to him... he gave a discount on the fare. so ppl, pls dun be bullied by these kind of uncles!! alright back to the point, the dance concert was really nice. as in the humorous parts. lol. i am not arts enough to take things like modern dances. and ok la i give claps to my clumsy sis who falls down even when cycling and refuse to move at home, for dancing not-so-badly on stage. haha!!  going for these hall concerts and performances, like the drama production last time, seems to bring me much closer to hall life. and i really look forward to it :) alrights thats all for now :) Thursday, March 19, 2009 @ 3/19/2009 08:43:00 PM
updates i realised its been a long time since i last blogged.. the last time before results. oh man. so results was... bad. esp gp. worst than a horrible nightmare. i just needed time to get over them. and i think i have now. day in and out i have been thinking abt wat courses to take. courses which my lousy results can get me to, and can at least interest me a little. and start imagining myself doing that thing 10years down the road, search online abt the course, think until i fall asleep. lol. oh ya the open house last weekend. led by sisters of the clique. lol i mean my sis and xw sis at the different uni. it gave me a clearer pic, but i am still, unsettled :( i thot i have 1001 things to say, but i dun. lol. next time perhaps. after i'm more settled with my uni stuff.. mistake ok i made a mistake today. i thot the guy who had his face in the smu business catalogue like it was his photo album, is from smu. LOL. but the thing abt the article which i told xiuwen and claire abt the ntu ppl are not so goodlooking, with that guy featured, is true. just that he was representing smu. look here if u are really bored.. and thats why i got all mixed up. haha ok i just wanted to clarify that..
