call me sophia just a quick post abt the week before i go to bed and wake up tml for my new job. WED went for mini s24 gathering. only 6 of us in total. audrey, jipeng, joanna, singhui, yanjia and me. was supposed to have steamboat but we changed to having fish n co at bugis. which marks the 2nd time i'm having fish and chips in 5 days. haha. but it was good meeting up with them, and i realised its like close to 2 years since i last last jipeng? haha guess i'm missing out too much on s24 gatherings. and good that audrey went cos it cant be 'low' with her around. heh. we walked around, to the new iluma and bugis street after dinner. den home sweet home :) THUR i found a new job. after spamming resume for 3 days on jobsdb, jobstreet or any jobs site you can find online. only 1 replied, which is recruit express. to be a consultant there. the exact same job as sis and ade. under the same head somemore. so i went in the morning for interview and was offered the job on the spot. this brings me to the title of this post. if i ever sent you any email (which i rarely do. perhaps my pw mates were the only few to receive them), you will know myname on email is Sophia Eng, my email address too. thats set 6 or 8 years ago when i thot its cool to have that a christian name or whatever you call it. but i abandoned it when fm972 had this short commercial calling Sophia as a maid and my uncle keep laughing at me for that. and when i sent my new supervisor my resume, i wrote Shang Fei in the email. but she conveniently called me Sophia throughout the interview even though i wrote Shang Fei on my application form too. and she conveniently added Sophia behind my name as well on the contract. well well, i guess its easier to call and rmb. so, i shall start to accept that i'm Sophia from tml onwards. ok so after the long story abt my name, i met joson and clarice at suntec after my interview. we had lunch at astons, sat there to talk from 2pm to 4pm, went to walk around and meet liyan meichen, before we went BACK to astons for dinner AGAIN at 5.30pm. LOL. so i had 2 meals there. my goodness. but it was nice talking and laughing with the seniors once again. meichen has got really funny stories, and she says it funnily too. haha. after dinner joson went off and we went to esplanade to continue chatting. there was a harp concert going on and we sat there talking, with the nice music as background. and we went off to gelare cos meichen was craving for ice cream. yum yum. and we tried taking photo. but i guess everyone is too sleepy. haha.  FRI was supposed to sing with alvin joson and yiwen. but after a twist of fate, i went to sing with sis instead while they and shijun jinxian sang at another room. lol its too long a story. and so the room was the usual room23 (we always get that. a bit weird ya). and i would say it was bigger then joson they all's room. lol! such that me and sis and straighten our legs on the sofa facing the tv. and i sang to my heart's content! 4hours solid ah! we got so high at 1 pt of time we used to instruments to dance with our fav hokkien song "ji ba ban"(1 million dollars). haha. such that we were so exhausted after the song. lol!  after that i went to meet the girls for dinner at ichiban! a pity mk couldn come. and yes its the usual catching up on all the random stuffs we used to talk abt in school last time. and they came up with this neverending cycle of meeting up by making someone pay 1st and we pay that person next time we meet! so evil! cos we MUST turn up for the next meeting den! haha we live up to ur name- the evil step fam! LOL. ok great next up is SINGING AGAIN with them. haha :) SAT danhong clarice they all went back to visit the nj juniors. but i decided to give it a miss cos i really hardly find much time at home, after going out for the whole week. and mum's homecooked food is still the best la! after all the eat-out you will really miss them :) and i plan to finish pi li MIT before job starts but failed :( 2.5 more episodes to go. yan ya lun is loved la!!!! :) TODAY/SUN the family went to IKEA tampines. a random idea by mum and we found ourselves there looking at all the furnitures and thinking how they can fit into our home. heh and we got new cups which we will personlise soon soon! i think after sis's final exams :) next stop was courts MEGAstore next door. camera camera! i'm going to get a new 1 after my next or next next pay day :) den we went back to IKEA for dinner. cos every1 was craving for meatballs! yum yum! great and the chicken wings were super big and nice too! i think i'm getting more and more high down the post. ok i'm a bit edgy over the new job. cos sis has told me sooo much abt it, i'm scared i cant live up to it, or not suitable for the environment. 3months contract can be slow or fast lo! esp when my new supervisor says i'm quiet and must get out of my comfort zone to fit in this job. well well good luck to me!! :)) |
