new job, new life a new update at my blog seems to be a time tracker- its yet another week... the new job at recruit express was certainly a GREAT EXPERIENCE. couldnt really get used on the 1st few days, cos its totally different from FNCC. fast paced, formal attire, lots of talking, listening and talking on phone, quite stressful. and they throw to you everything, expecting you to know. thanks to the other temp shirley sitting next to me, i get a better idea of wat to do. there is a target to aim for, sending out 10 resumes to the client holders. and my boss said to me, she expect me to close 2-3 contracts per week. wow. of cos i want to cos each contract closed earns me an extra $25. but its simply very difficult. to the point that i get really excited when my 1st candidate was shortlisted for interview tml. i shouted a big YAY in my heart man. 2 candidates going down and i hope mine will be chosen! looking at resumes is something very funny. you see people getting about 3k per annum (they meant monthly). or being born in 2007. HAHA. 2 years old and looking for a job? lol. and i really cant catch wat those KLKs (erm u can ask me if you realllllly duno wat it is) are speaking man. the point is to grab hold of key words. you cant understand everything they say i tell you. and there are weird ppl out there who says really funny stuff that doesnt make sense at all. and foreigners who dun understand wat it means by sporean/pr and keep spamming like 10 or 12 of their resumes. and the list goes on.... and i need to take the packed mrt rides nowadays.hmm more like a working adult now compared to taking company transport. heh. spending close to $5 each day on food and i must say i tried out quite a lot of fast food in 1 week. glad that the other temps are really nice people and easy to get a long with :) saturday was as usual the family day cos sis is back. we went to ichiban sushi and this time i ate 2 plates of salmon cheese! omg.. alright my point is after that we went to shop for my cosmetics. feeling like a grown up. mum and sis was blasting me with what to do, what is needed, which is good and so on... i must say i am quite a noob at this cos i always thot ppl my age wouldnt need it. but the fact that my boss already mentioned abt putting some make-up, i think i better prepare myself. and sis say actually its quite a common knowledge when we get to uni. so now i have a full set for myself, from the eyebrow thing to blusher and wat have you. enough to make me a member of maybelline. lol. its yet another day tml. dun think i can hit anything near the target resumes cos will be meeting 2 candidates. good luck to me.. |
