the happiest re day  and today was probably the happiest day that i had at work![even though 1 candidate went MIA, 1 candidate "lao sai" (omg thats so crude of him to use this word. gross.) and couldn come for interview] haha! today i closed 1 contract staff for starhub and 1 perm staff for SICC. both are fresh ORD IT people. thats more pocket money earned. the thing is the perm staff. he looked really good in his resume photo. and his resume was super well written i think. and after some consideration between our client and another company, he chose to accept our offer! i was super excited since yst. oh ya we had temp outing on thurs. 10 temps and out of which only i am still working in RE. heh. and we had dinner at BigO and went over fareast for ice dessert. oops i side tracked. ok so i told every1 i am finally going to shang4 bang3 today. in RE, u get 22bucks for contracts case closed and $10 for perm, but u can write your perm sales on the board and ring the bell. den every1 will clap for you. i was soooo happy cos i was closing contracts all along. no shang4 bang3 feels like not working in RE before lor! so today the guy went to sign the LOA and initiated to come pay the intro fee. and i got to ring the bell though the sales was not a lot la. when he reached he was like so happy and half bowed saying thanks for my help. omg i was like bowing back. LOL. and he asked if he can used netts or visa to pay the IF. but of cos cant! so he went downstairs atm. the fee was $53.50 but he didnt have change so kept asking me to keep the change. i insisted and went out to get the change of cos. and before he left he stuff a box of royce choc to me! i kept saying nooooooo but he said pls pls and went off. omg. i was so shocked i forgot to give him the receipt! so i chased out. oh man. when i went back every1 was like "OHHHHHH" when they saw the choc. haha cos the past candidates didtn give them that. and they felt that the guy was good looking haha. so the choc became out team's tea break. totally no mood to work after that. my teamlead ask me to offer the choc to our director. and i did. she say she heard abt it and the candidate must be very satisfied with my service. heh. 1 consultant asked if i have a sense of job satisfaction, and indeed i have! great weekend the last weekend was as usual, great! saturday morning the family went over to get some documents and procedures for my university funds done, followed by a nice Mac breakfast and shopping at causeway point. omg the GSS is here, more shopping needs to be done! haha!! den met up with xiangling and shufen for a lunch meetup. crazy xiangling insisted on treating us cos we treated her the last time for her birthday. had pastamania and the usual talking of everything under the sun. we had a nice time chatting while having pasta and bubbletea at sweet talk. past by a vcd stall and we stood there watching "Shi Wan Ge Wei Shen Me!". oh man and all the childhood memories came back! We promised to next meet up at me and shufen's hostel where we will have our room warming with xiangling :) parted with them and took a bus to east coast. the trip was crazily long. i slept and woke and daydreamed and slept and stoned for the 1+ hour journey. and the bus stop was quite far from where the co ppl were! meichen came late taking the same bus and she walked the wrong direction somemore. think she walked super super long.. met up with the njco ppl. omg it was like 580 years since i saw lerxian, 320 years since i saw jinxian. and the 1st time seeing joson in not-very-botak hair as well! the army boys were mad. they dug a 1m deep whole! like those that they sit in to fire during army i think. it became a tourist attraction and sooo many ppl came over to take photo with it. before we could do that, some malays came and filled the hole:( most of the boys went to ride bike while i relived my childhoood memory again-- playing with sand! haha just happen to see the stuff while searching the storeroom for the frisbee.  initially liyana nd danhong were playing too! but they soon became too bored to continue. i tried really hard to make a sandcastle but man, it was soooo difficult. i gave up after making this.after that was some chit chatting on the mat, eating the food that they bought earlier at shing shiong. it was super funny when they keep saying the colourful biscuits are bai4 chen2 biscuits.. later in the evening the sky was dark and looked like it was going to rain, so we had to pack up and leave for parkway parade for dinner. Danhong and jiahao left earlier and we forgot to take photo tgt :/ anyway parkway parade was super big. me and meichen were totally zihighing in there. haha esp when we saw her future workplace, Da Bao TCM clinic. LOL! and we had ajisen ramen for dinner. jinxian sure has lots of stories to tell, and the guys educated me and meichen more abt army stuff. haha. photos outside ajisen!  i'm so missing chi fan sessions!!!! mini e6 gathering and it was a mini swiss gathering yst. mini cos basically its made up of the clique and xinyi's clique. not complete somemore. haha! in the afternoon my cousin came over claiming that he is bringing with him the most fun toy. and its true! u just stand on the thing, and it will move when u slightly tilt the handle to the front back or any direction. i almost lose track of the time to meet the ppl for party world. so he let me ride it to the bus stop and super a lot of ppl were looking at me pls. and i played with it the whole sunday afternoon just now. the max speed is 20km/h. super fast and fun. u can switch it to the tortoise mode also which is like max 12km/h  u can see it in the movie "mall cop". sis says sentosa has it on rent as well  den was meeting sihui, xinyi, charlie, chuanfa and kevin at civics centre party world. the promo is over so each of us spent like $21+ but it was still fun! can hear sihui's solid singing, singing lessons really make a difference can! and xinyi's singing is really high all the way man! well charlie can only sing at the top of his voice and irritate others. HAHA kidding kidding! oh ya we sang 我问天 de fujian song as well. totally zi high. and we only know how to sing the chorus pls. "我问天, 我问天!" heh!  in the evening szesian, seokhoon, jac and zihui, aikuen came to join us for dinner at pastamania. it was great catching up with ppl i havent met more like, more than 2 years! omg we count in years man thats really long long long! more meetups pls! with sihui, the rich girl going eastern europe on tuesday. pls dun forget me hor *hint hint* haha!  with zihui aikuen and xinyi. the old sec school frens....  after dinner sihui and chuanfa went off 1st. the rest went to arcade to walk around. me and charlie saw this new stimulator and decided to try it. we just sit in the car and the thing will move with the roller coaster film. wind will blow out from dunno where cos the film that we chose was in like a mountain cave. the 2 of us were super zi high pls. i guess we are the ppl who shouted the loudest of all who took the ride. and my palms were sweating. LOL. the thing is the ride is 4 buck and charlie refused to take my money even though he is like earning 60cents per hour in army. haha! and it was not nice shoving that $2 note around. so ok let him treat but drinks on me next time hor!!! looking forward to the next gathering. and wii session at sihui's house after she comes back! :) Saturday, June 06, 2009 @ 6/06/2009 10:48:00 PM
time out! time to take a break after the week. well i have been doing that every weekend la just that this time its spent with the family :) early in the morning went to lavender ICA to collect mum and marg's passport. den we went to bugis for some shopping and pray at the guang yin temple. Goodness there were super a lot of ppl there! and the lots of ppl taking photo outside the temple. think they caught me on camera! haha. along the way we bought like super lots of food. from bo luo bao and egg tarts to cream puffs. beard papa is seriously nice! we dropped by a gui ling gao specialist stall and went in for a rest. it was soooo bitter! until mum was like filling the spoon with half with the gui ling gao and half is the honey syrup. lol. but i have to say u will feel really good after eating it. and marg had cough and sore throat so mum bought "ku cha" for her also. omg i can imagine how bad it was cos i always feel like vomitting drinking those things.. we made our way to the new iluma as well. goodness the escalator that brings you up the 4th storey from the 1st is scary... and there is very very few ppl there despite bring a saturday. the food area on the 4th storey has a great variety of food! there was this shabu shabu buffet at a jap restaurant and we were so tempted to try it! but we ate so many things already, not in a good state for buffet so just add a mental note for it. we will be back!  lunch time we went to bugis junction for xiao long baosssss cos mum was craving for it... us with the xiao long baossss :) we continued shopping in bugis until late afternoon when dad met us for dinner at our fav bbq stall. i must say the bbq stuff is getting too spicy! it was a long day. but shioook ah! :) oh and yes i'm super looking forward to the sec school class gathering on saturday :) Thursday, June 04, 2009 @ 6/04/2009 10:08:00 PM
be happy  its getting a little stressful at work these few days. when u hear "offered!" but not your candidate's name. and not sending enough CVs. and not able to find ppl to call.so i realised i will eat A LOT. or stare at space. or just rot on the sofa when i get home. or close the door and not realised that it hit my head until i hear the bang and feel the pain. OUCH! haha ok i am getting a little exaggerated, cos i still chat with shirley while i use the com and she look at her resumes. or go toilet with pauline. or ask pearlyn how many CVs she sent and grumble that i cant find ppl. but anw, wat i am envious is, ppl are going on holiday! audrey duqian just came back from the land of yan ya lun taiwan, sis is in USA and just went Disneyland, claire is going to the land of powdered cakes goldilocks (pls dun get me that. i want souveneirs!), sihui is going EE OMG! i shud plan 1 after my contract ends, just before uni for a few days. but not bad i am going to the land of durians this sunday. LOL. yes i'm going malaysia for a durian feast and i'm so looking forward to that. after the long page of ranting, the point of my photo (jiaxin's pic which is so cute totaly made my day just by looking at it- koped from jiatian's blog). omg i'm like so lookng forward to penang trip this year end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
